Suprise, Surprise, $10B in Stolen Tax Payer Money

When the Bush regime moved in, they repealed a law, put in place during President Clinton's years, that "prohibits awarding federal contracts to companies exhibiting a pattern of breaking the law in performance of government contracts."

Yes, you'd think that would be implicit, but we need a rule for that these days. In any case, the Bush-league repealed it.

Since then, the Bush League has run up $3 Trillion in additional federal deficits, and blown-up $2 Trillion in present and future tax-payer funds on an ill-conceived, mis-managed war in Iraq and Afghanistan.

If that isn't enough to turn your stomach and send you on the "I want the scalps of these mother-fuckers" path, todays news brings word from the Government Accountability Office (whatever that is), that "three top auditors overseeing contract work in Iraq" have "told a House committee that Defense and State department officials condoned or otherwise allowed poor accounting, repeated work delays, bloated expenses and payments for work shoddily or never done by U.S. contractors. Total theft, waste, vice, and incompetence: $10 Billion.

For some perspective, that's almost 2X the total annual budget deficit being carried by the entire state of California (which is the world's 6th, 7th or 10th largest economy, depending on who you ask).

"Of the $10 billion in overpriced contracts or undocumented costs, more than $2.7 billion were charged by Halliburton Co., the oil-field services firm once headed by Vice President Dick Cheney."

Meanwhile the Bush-league is asking for nearly $100 billion in additional immediate funding to pay for more U.S. troops in Iraq.

In my view, hurting innocent animals, stealing from helpless old ladies, and violating the sanctity of an oath to service in high elected office all rank in same category: deserving of having the shit kicked out of you by a righteous mob.

Its time America started indicting, convicting, and publicly hanging these people. And I don't care if they are in Congress, The White House or running companies like Haliburton. These people are hiding behind the so called "dignity" of the offices they hold. They are a bunch of cowardly vile criminals.

When we rustle them up and bring them to justice, anything less than a public blood-letting of these scumbags will be an insult to the dignity of my country, for which my ancestors have sweat and shed blood.
